Charles Alexander shares his story of meeting Chrissy - May 2006

After having the worst year of my life, losing everything in hurricane Katrina, a dream came true! My wife and I were having coffee (cafe' au lait) at the famous Cafe' Dumonde in the french quarter, relaxing. Suddenly, I saw a small, pretty woman w/ radiant, vivid red hair walk by wearing dark sunglasses w/ another woman. As she entered the cafe, I saw them! Those unmistakable lips!!! Lips women pay to have and still can't achieve! My heart stopped!!! It had to be her!

They sat down & made an order and I could hear them chatting. It was her!

I waited until they finished their coffee & I slowly approached her. A woman who is my fav singer & I have had a wicked crush on for over 20 yrs! She was so down to earth & very gracious.

Thinking quickly, I asked if I might meet her & have stuff signed (I was rebuilding my Divinyls collection & saved some things). She told us to meet her on Saturday and she signed things & took a photo. Her friend was really cool- it was the lovely Shayna Stewart!

Meeting Chrissy was really amazing & I'll never forget her taking some time out of her holiday to do that! What a class act!
